Watch the USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) is return to Naval Base San Diego carrying the Artemis II Orion capsule “Integrity” after successfully recovering NASA’s four astronauts from their historic 10-day journey around the Moon.
This is the first crewed lunar mission in over 50 years — and San Diego just played a starring role. The Murtha served as the primary recovery ship, plucking Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen (plus the spacecraft) from the Pacific yesterday. Watch the ship come home with the capsule safely aboard!

One beautiful thing about not owning a TV is that it frees up time for better things - like reading and meditating on God’s Word. I’ve been reflecting on Luke 8 since yesterday, specifically the Parable of the Sower. Verse 15 says:
“But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.” — Luke 8:15 NIV
And in the New living translation:
“And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest.” — Luke 8:15 NLT
From this I have learned: If I want to be the good soil, and I do, I must be honest, with a noble and good heart. I can’t just hear God’s Word. I must actively listen to it, retain it, and cling to it. Then, and only then, by patiently persevering through life’s trials, will I produce a huge harvest for the Lord.
