I’ve received a couple of emails expressing concern about folding GunGuyTV into Practical Defense Systems. Not to worry—this has been the plan for several months.
Consolidating under one brand means we’ll be managing one website instead of three, one YouTube channel instead of two, and roughly half as many social media accounts. This will save significant money (SEO and GEO work on just one site, for example) and make everything much more efficient.
If you visit one of our websites and find it’s gone, don’t worry. The site was taken down because we no longer need it. The URL for that site will forward to pdsclasses.com. It sometimes takes a day or two for the forwarding to kick in.
I will still be interviewing Chuck Michel, Rick Travis, Kostas Moros, Dan O’Kelly, Sean Maloney from Second Call Defense, and continuing to fight for our constitutional rights. Working under the Practical Defense Systems brand also allows for a broader range of topics. Guests like Dave Weiner (retired Chief of Police), Scott Walker (Captain, Arizona Rangers), hopefully Chip DeBlock from LEO Roundtable (I haven’t spoken with him yet, but I will), several directors of large security agencies, and others will be joining the show. This will make the content more interesting to a wider audience.
Changing brands on social media platforms is tricky, so it will take some time. X is almost complete (and it’s been a genuine pain). YouTube will probably be next—the GunGuyTV channel will simply be rebranded. Nothing else will change: your subscriptions, old videos, and everything else stay exactly the same. After that, we’ll tackle Meta (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). It’s a big job, so please be patient with us.
If you have any questions or concerns, just let me know.
Joel
In the first half, attorney Sean Maloney from Second Call Defense joins me to explain the lessons gun owners can learn from what happened to Kyle Rittenhouse.
In the second half, I discuss a home invasion case from Oceanside California in which the homeowner successfully defended himself.
Trump Goes NUCLEAR over Magazine Bans.
Jun 10, 2026
Gun owners have been living with magazine bans for years—but what if one of the most accepted forms of gun control is finally being challenged? In this video, we break down the Trump DOJ's lawsuit against Colorado's 15-round magazine ban and why this fight is much bigger than Colorado itself. For years, politicians have argued that standard-capacity magazines are somehow excessive, but millions of Americans own firearms designed around common magazines.
We'll discuss how magazine restrictions became normalized, why many gun owners were forced to accept reduced-capacity firearms, and the real-world self-defense implications of magazine limits. We also examine the legal arguments being used against Colorado, how the Bruen decision changed the landscape, and why this case could impact magazine bans across the country.
