Today's session used my shot timer with a multiple-target drill.
Gun: Springfield XD-40
From the low ready position
50 rounds total:
The rules: Pick two targets at random (by numbers, colors, or shapes). At the beep, fire one round on each as fast as possible while keeping acceptable accuracy.
As you can see, I pulled two shots off target. That's unacceptable for defensive shooting. I am responsible for every round I fire from the moment it leaves the muzzle until it stops—and for any damage it causes along the way.
More practice on this drill is needed.
In the first half, attorney Sean Maloney from Second Call Defense joins me to explain the lessons gun owners can learn from what happened to Kyle Rittenhouse.
In the second half, I discuss a home invasion case from Oceanside California in which the homeowner successfully defended himself.
