State Farm is covering the cost of the replacement—at least, that’s what they’ve told me. They also rented a truck for me. My mechanic is going to install a protective cage or plate to help prevent future theft. It sucks that you have to lock everything down to keep thieves from robbing you blind, but it is what it is.
So much for living in a nice neighborhood with a low crime rate. Friday night, there was a burglary down the street—cops everywhere and a helicopter overhead. They caught the thief still inside the home. Then, last night, someone stole the catalytic converter from my truck.
