My thoughts on the LA fires

Nobody deserves to have their home destroyed like so many have in Los Angeles. I want to make that clear before I make the following comment.

California is run by leftist nutcases like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass because the coastal elites have shoved them down our throats for decades. It is the voters in Los Angeles who voted for the very kind of "leadership" that has caused the destruction we've witnessed.

The fires are NOT a result of "climate change". They are a direct result of the foolish and stupid WOKE policies of the California Left.

  • We had record rain fall last year, but failed to capture and store that water.

  • We are a coastal state, yet we are prevented from building desalinization plants that would provide water for our communities.

  • Water from Northern California that could be used in Southern California is diverted into the ocean because of insane leftist environmental policies.

  • We could easily have more than enough water for our communities, but because of the polices listed above we are ordered not to water our trees and yards - causing them to dry out and create fire hazards.

  • We know that wild fires are a danger, but we are prevented from reducing the risk by clearing the dry brush because of WOKE environmental policies.

  • It is common knowledge that homeless people start fires. Yet, we encourage homelessness and refuse to clean up homeless encampments.

  • Rather than focus on public safety, we hire fire chiefs who focus on DEI, instead of maintaining a well trained and well funded fire department.

  • When a pandemic comes along, we terminate experienced firefighters and police officers who refuse to take the jab.

  • Rather than focus our efforts on defending our own citizens against wildfires, we donate our firefighting equipment to Ukraine, and then fail to replace it.

You want to know why insurance companies have canceled fire coverage in southern California? Read the list above.

These are just a few of the lunatic policies that voters in Los Angeles and San Francisco shove down the throats of Californians. Perhaps they thought they would never be affected by their own foolish choices. That didn't work out very well.

Now that the city has burned down, Los Angeles voters don't like Karen Bass anymore. Some act like she just showed up out of nowhere and took over the Mayor's job. But, that isn't what happened. Los Angeles voters elected Bass. They got what they voted for, and now they don't like it.

I will state it again, this is a tragedy that nobody deserves - that no one should ever experience. Still, it is the result of what most in Los Angeles continue to vote for. The truth hurts, but it is the truth all the same.

STOP VOTING FOR YOUR OWN DESTRUCTION!

Lessons for Gun Owners - Attorney Explains EP96 (Syndicated version)

In the first half, attorney Sean Maloney from Second Call Defense joins me to explain the lessons gun owners can learn from what happened to Kyle Rittenhouse.

In the second half, I discuss a home invasion case from Oceanside California in which the homeowner successfully defended himself.

9 People Shot in Tucson

Apparently, the shooter randomly shot nine people before a police officer gave him a much-needed lead injection. According to the news story, the suspect, who survived being shot by police (at least so far) has “a prior conviction for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.”

Three questions:

1. This joker has a violent criminal history. Why was he in possession of a firearm?

2. Why isn't Tucson Mayor Regina Romero (D) concerned about the answer to Question 1?

3. When will anti-gun politicians stop using tragedies like this to push for more gun control, which she did?

Actually, that last question answers itself.

Real-world defensive gun use in Cerritos.

At Lucille’s Bar & Grill, an armed citizen stopped a man who was allegedly threatening people with a knife. The attacker was shot and killed; no other injuries reported.

What I find most interest is the presence of an off-duty police officer who apparently did nothing. Thank God for the armed citizen.

On Fear Robbing You of Hope

"Skippy, you're not afraid of the outsider. You're afraid to hope. Giving in to fear is easy. You just accept there's nothing you can do, doom is inevitable, and there's no point in making any effort. If you dare to hope, then you risk your hopes getting crushed."

— Craig Alanson’s fictional character, Major General Joe Bishop (Expeditionary Force)
