As I get ready for church this morning I am mindful that America literally dodged a bullet yesterday. Unfortunately, there were those attending the rally who were not so lucky. I'm praying for them. I'm also praying for our nation, for President Trump and his family, and for the men and women of the Secret Service who are charged with protecting them. I urge you to do the same.
By now, I suspect that the Secret Service has gotten it's act together and is providing a proper level of security protection to President Trump. A lot went wrong yesterday and I have been very critical of that team's performance. After all, you know something has gone sideways when a run-of-the-mill security consultant like me can easily spot the numerous holes in yesterday's substandard security. I am comforted by the knowledge that the U.S. Secret Service is a highly professional organization that will not willingly allow such a thing to happen again.
So... today is a new day, Jesus is still Lord, President Trump is still good to go, and there is still hope that we can begin making America great again, again this November. I'm grateful.

In the second half, I discuss a home invasion case from Oceanside California in which the homeowner successfully defended himself.

He’s pushed some of the strictest gun control laws in the country… but just accepted a handgun on a podcast — on camera.
In this video, I expose the shocking hypocrisy behind one of America’s most anti-gun politicians and how his actions speak louder than his gun-grabbing policies. Gun owners across the country have been told they don’t need firearms — but apparently, some politicians do?
