1. The Second Amendment does NOT protect the rights of privileged classes of people. It protects the rights of ALL Americans.
2. The main purpose of the Second Amendment is to protect the rights and capabilities of the people to defend themselves against a tyrannical government.
3. Police officers are government employees who are paid and empowered to enforce the dictates of government. They are government agents.
4. Given the above, carving out a special privilege of nationwide concealed carry for government agents while denying the constitutionally protected rights of regular Americans to carry nationally stands in direct opposition to the intention of our founders and the purpose and goal of the Second Amendment.
