Never Forget

When I was growing up people would say, "Remember Pearl Harbor." December 7, 1941 was drilled into my head as "a date which will live in infamy." My parents remembered the attack on Pearl Harbor like it was yesterday. They never forgot.

22 years ago this morning I found my heart in my throat as I watched live video of the buildings, I had just visited two weeks before, collapse on my television's screen. At that moment I understood what "a date which will live in infamy" meant. I remember every moment - like it was yesterday.
