Hmm. How can a government refuse to pay a judgement against it? I understand the right to appeal a judgement, but at some point you must pay if you exhaust all appeals. Unless they intend to appeal the decision, their refusal to pay the bill is criminal in and of itself.
I have read story after story of law abiding gun owners being railroaded by their local and state governments. This story isn't about gun rights. Still, the acts of government officials ignoring the courts is a VERY disturbing trend. It disregards the checks and balances put in place by our country's founders in the Constitution.
